A Non-Speaker's Quest to Be Heard

My thinking has always been good but I couldn’t tell anyone.... for 24 years.

My name is William. I have autism. People think I’m dumb but I am highly intelligent.
When I met my teachers, Maria and Lisa, they helped me in communication by typing my thoughts on an iPad. Now my only goal is to tell the world people like me have intelligent minds. That people like me are stuck in wrong hopeless bodies. And to help new parents know that their kids brain works fine in thinking but not fine in doing.
An evolution will change how the rest of the world sees us. Kindness makes better loving society. Being kind, people make the world a better place.
You find love with people who understand. Being placed in hopeful environment with others like me helped my hopeless body.
Being more understanding is good for us autistics. Not rushing us along helps our bodies. Nobody matters in this infinite universe but in your families you matter.
Let us join together universally to effectively tell people we are in here.

Being unable to speak creates more anxiety
I am happy to write today to help anyone who might read my words.
Autism is not just a word. Autism is a way of life for those of us who are living with it every day. Everything we do from the minute we open our eyes until the minute we close them again at night is impacted by autism.
Going out into public places is extra stressful especially if those places are unfamiliar to us. Being unable to speak creates more anxiety and feeling like people are staring at you makes it even worse.
I wish people knew how my mind works and that I understand that they are staring at me. If you are reading this the next time you see someone who seems different just be friendly and say hello even if they can’t say hello back. I guarantee you that it will be appreciated.
